Johnson and Wales University
HISTORY
The Resplendent Rho Chapter at Johnson & Wales University was founded in the Spring of 1999. After three years of patiently waiting and actively working to bring an organization they thought would better serve the Latino community at Johnson & Wales University, three remarkable women came together to establish Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc.
Eva Peña, Rosaura Suarez and Natalia Vasquez overcame all obstacles and established the sorority’s Rho Chapter at the university’s Providence campus. By being active campus and community leaders the Hermanas that have become part of this resplendent chapter strive to carry on the legacy their chapter founders created.
