National Leadership Institute (NLI)
NLI is held in June of each year and serves as the annual business meeting of the sorority. The Institute offers professional development sessions, strategic conversations with our National Leadership Team, networking opportunities, and sisterhood bonding.

RAÍCES Week
Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority is the proud sponsor of our annual RAÍCES (Roots) Week, a series of programming which is held nationally during the last week of September. Our Hermandad dedicates a week of events and service to a topic or issue that is poignant and aligned with our sorority’s mission, goals, and ideals. The topic is submitted by our very own Hermanas who develop and design our next national initiative, with every chapter enthusiastically participating in the winning theme of the year.

National Convention
Every year during the first weekend in December, Hermanas from across the country reunite to celebrate and rejoice in the fruition of Sincerity, Loyalty, and Unity. We honor our establishment through a weekend filled with outstanding educational, professional, and culturally enriching workshops and programming. This annual event enables our Hermanas to enhance their evolution as students, campus leaders, local community members, working professionals, and mothers.
In addition, we utilize this time to recognize the astonishing accomplishments of our Hermanas and their respective chapters. It is important that we highlight their undying dedication in fulfilling the goals and ideals of the organization by awarding them with our National Cacique and Avance awards.
